The label we created is for a Ligurian oil, produced with Taggiasca olives, born and raised in front of that sea. It captures the view of the olive trees used for that very oil. It is the view that the olives have 'looked at' to become a wonderful oil
And then that sea also represents my origins: I was born there too, it is the synthesis of who I am. And that image was made using a very old, very rare and very difficult process: platinum-palladium printing. A true rarity: like our label, like our oil.
Extra virgin olive oil is not only a (delicious) food, but also and above all a true medicine. Extra virgin olive oil is good for you! It is a medicine! So I approached the packaging by eliminating any romantic or/and aesthetic declination, thinking of making a label for a medicine, with a precise and clear functionality. I therefore resorted to an extremely simple and rigorous aesthetic. With a kind of 'imprecision', though! I love that all that rigour and coldness is 'ruined' by two wonderful drops of oil dripping down the neck of the bottle.Settimio Benedusi
